BORN IDLE BIOG
Back in the beginning of 2004, a group of friends had a vision, a vision that would bring together all styles of breakbeat and unite them under one roof. These chaps are James Bass (J-Bass) Artist/Managing Director, Ian Vilarelle (Journeyman) Artist/Director, Adrian Barr (Barrcode) Artist, and Azmi Erdimir (DJ Az) Artist. Born Idle Records was conceived and subsequently by late spring of that very same year we cut the umbilical cord and the first release was delivered!
Now heading towards the 9th release, the label has already generated quite a following!
With loyal support from great artists across the board such as The Freestylers, Plump DJs, Tayo, Drumattic Twins and many others, is certainly an indication of the different sides of the scene the Born Idle concept is embracing.
" I would love to have a track out there that would sit comfortably in the record box of say….. Plumps and Freestylers" .

The crew at Born Idle have been working very hard over the last couple of years to build a good platform for the label to thrive from, with the weekly "Born Idle Show" on www.ibreaks.co.uk hosted by J-Bass every Monday @ 8pm GMT, and gigs aplenty in places such as Spain, Romania, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, France and, of course, the UK.
You can bet your asses that we have been doing our very best to promote the breakbeat sound as much as possible.
This year will see The Born Idle Crew stepping up a gear, with a new revamped image, website, and an increased frequency of releases, we have some treats lined up for you!!
